Danilo Pastore

«In the epònymous role, Danilo Pastore’s “sidereal” timbre is linked to a legato of great expressive subtlety. His character is, in spite of the disguise, himself from the beginning, because he arrives at Eurinda’s court with a clear purpose, which will be pursued constantly. With the sure vocal correctness that distinguishes him, the Turinese countertenor knows how to convey the passage of the character from circumspection to joy, always maintaining the detached superiority of a hereditary prince, who will descend through the branches of eighteenth-century opera up to Mozart’s Tamino.»
